Boss Character

Almost done with the Boss assignment, I have to finish up for GDC. I started off with a completely different concept for my Boss from DFA, but decided I wanted to do a more creature-like boss character than human-like, so I made a new character.

My first DFA concept:

Some 2D Stuff

I didn't post a couple of my projects I had wanted to from last semester, but I may still post them later. For now, here's some 2D stuff I've done in the last few months.

This guy is from last semester's Game Design project "Imagine a World." I worked in a group and we created a world we nicknamed "Sky Whales," and these creatures fly around defending the main boss creatures while the player is trying to take them down.


A couple still-lives from my Observational Painting class this semester.

The main character of my story in my Children's Book Illustration class, Vera the Goblin. It's been fun doing some cutesy stuff again 8]  The book's going to be about 28 pages, so I may post more from it when it's finished.

Some environment sketches done in my sketchbook for DFA's Blue Sky project. I did a couple digital environment studies too, but I'm not very happy with them yet. Gotta keep practicing!

I'll make another post soon updating with 3D stuff. We've been working on our Boss characters lately, so that'll come next 8)  Most of this semester I've been working on Pre-pro thesis pitches though, so I have a lot of work I can't show from that. At the end of the year I'll make a post with some art from whatever pitch idea gets chosen, though 8>
