Inktober & Art Updates

I haven't updated here in bit since I can't post anything from the game I've been working on, but it was just announced the other day - it's for tablet/mobile and called Avengers Academy! Here's a link to the Marvel announcement page:  Unfortunately I can't post any of the work I did on it until sometime in February.

I've been working on a new fantasy novel lately so I haven't been drawing a whole lot, but I participated in Inktober (draw an ink sketch every day of October) so here are some of my favorite doodles from that 8)

Maybe I'll go back and finish some of these. Thanks for looking!

Art and Life Update

A lot has happened in the last month! I got a job at Neko Productions as a 3D Artist/Texture Artist, and started working for them a few days ago. It's a remote year-long contract so I can live wherever I want, which is home for now so I can save up some money. On the side I also started working on environments for an indie game company called Fledgeling Studios. Meanwhile, still been doing personal projects and Cities: Skylines buildings for Bryan's Patreon! I've been a busy Molly.

Been working on some Gigantic fanart, because I'm super excited for that game 8D

And here's my most recent building I made for Cities: Skylines, it's Walter White's A1A Car Wash!

Lina and Spinosaurus

I wanted some painting practice so I painted Lina from Dota 2. She's definitely one of my favorite heroes from the game 8)  I actually haven't been playing much Dota 2 lately though, I've mostly been playing HotS (Heroes of the Storm) and a lot of Ark: Survival Evolved. I love me some dinosaurs 8D  Between Ark and Jurassic World coming out, I got super hyped on dinosaurs and started on a Spinosaurus sculpt. It's still a WIP!

Spinosaurus sculpt is still WIP, I'm partway into adding the scales and wrinkles before I start on the micro-details.

Thanks for looking! 8>

Random Assortment of Projects

I've kinda been all over the place lately with my projects, jumping between a lot of very different stuff. I have tons of ideas for my next projects, but it's always tough to decide what to do first @_@

Here's some stuff I've made lately. A Death Prophet fanart from Dota 2:

A Tacos Sell / JFK building (inspired by Taco Bell / KFC) for Cities Skylines:

And some shots to showcase a few props from my Beauty and the Beast room environment:

New project WIP's incoming soon!

Beast's Room Finished [UE4]

I finished Beast's room environment! I decided to make it a bit more dreary than it was before. It's still my own version of Beast's Room, but with some elements inspired by the Beauty & the Beast Disney movie. Here are the final shots:

The marble stone texture

I've also done some Dota 2 fanart illustrations lately, but I'll save that for my next post 8)

Beast's Room (WIP 2) and Other Stuffs

New update on the environment, I have most of the texturing done. Some of it is still first-pass textures, but the overall look will stay the same. I'm going to fix up the wallpaper, paint more ornamental details into the wood of the bed, dresser, and couches, as well as the edge of the marble table. Besides that, some fixes here and there and it's done!

Also I noticed the glass shader is refracting too much, for some reason it shows up really warped and doubles whatever is behind it only in the screenshots, not in-engine.

 Wood floor-board texture

I also made another building for Cities Skylines. It's called "Pepper's" based off of Chili's restaurants, and it's on the Steam Workshop.

 Final in-game screenshot (Cities Skylines)

Here's where you can see all my mod stuffs on my website:

And lastly, a Piccolo I made for my friend on her birthday 8P

Beast's Room Environment (WIP)

I've been wanting to do a slightly more stylized environment than I normally do and practice more with a hand-painted style, so I started making this scene, Beast's Room (inspired from Beauty and the Beast). I'm making the environment my own, but still using some general elements like mood and some architecture concepts from the Disney film.

Haven't textured or UV'd the models yet, but did a first-pass on the lighting.

I still want to add open double-doors leading to a balcony on the far wall behind the rose table where the big marble panel is. Gonna start figuring out how stylized I want my painted textures to be, and after that may have to adjust some shapes and proportions on my models to make them feel more cartoony, if the texturing calls for it. I've been pretty excited for this environment, I love Beauty and the Beast 8D

Character Art

Been taking a little break from my 3D environments to work on more digital 2D art. I have a huge list of characters I want to design and concepts to paint, and I really want to update and fill out the 2D part of my portfolio. So to start off, here's my most recent character design I made based off an old silhouette doodle (in the corner).

Her name's Caedrin, and she's a half-dragon upper ranking warrior. Her armor is made from nature materials, but it's mostly decorative because with tough dragon skin you don't really need armor anyways.

I made a few alternate color designs for her armor:

This was the sketch:

And something totally different, here's a sketch commission I did of Riki back-stabbing Tidehunter from Dota 2. It's more gory than I normally do, but that's what the commissioner wanted.

More stuff coming soon!
